The Instruction manuals I have with this says it can be used for many Oxy/Acetylene and Tig type operations. Has thumb adjustment. Used for : "useful for applying heat for welding, bending and forming, hardfacing, brazing, soldering etc. It also says it can be used for welding aluminum and copper and brass alloys". The rods for this are readily available. Great if you run out of gases or don't own a Tig or Oxy/Acetylene outfit. Difficult to find one of these rare torches in this great of condition . Its made of high heat copper/brass alloys, special fiber board and fiberplastics(Bakelite). Will work with either ac or dc. The flame is 9000F. This is in good condition, the cables cost $7 a foot times 20' +/- by themselves. Also have a Craftsman Carbon Arc Torch.
